The Web Services office designs, builds and maintains the UMFK web site, as well as provides faculty, staff, and departments of the university with web and multimedia services and support. Services available include but are not limited to web and print design, graphic design, video streaming services, digital video and DVD production, digital audio conversion, and color printing services (in conjunction with Blake Library). Some restrictions apply.
While some services are provided for departments free of charge, some charges do apply to certain multimedia production services and materials. Provided below is a list of these services and materials, including associated charges. Prices are subject to change; please contact Web Services at umfkweb@maine.edu for the latest pricing and availability.

* The individual requesting copies or conversions of any media type must either own the copright to the material, have permission from the copyright holder of the material, or must verify that the material is in the public domain. Web Services is not responsible for the misuse of copyrighted material by th individual.
In addition to multimedia services and support for faculty, staff and departments, Web Services provides students with multimedia support in relation to their course work. Web Services will assist students in learning the various tools and software needed to produce web and multimedia based course projects. Supported software and technologies include:

Please note: Web Services staff will provide only basic training in the above tools and technologies necessary to complete course work. Students must illustrate that any of the above tools or technologies are required to complete an assignment for their course. Assistance provided for the above tools are no substitute for courses which provide more in-depth exposure to these technologies. The Web Services office is not responsible for the actual production or completion of student course projects; it is expected that students will use the tools on their own to complete their course work, and may ask for assistance if needed. Assistance with these tools will not be provided for personal projects.
