| Responsibilities: |
The Director has responsibility for providing overall management of student financial aid operations including applying for, administering and reporting on university, state and federal student aid; preparing, awarding, executing, and monitoring student financial assistance packages in compliance with all laws and regulations; providing individual and group financial counseling and coordinating with other offices in developing and enhancing financial aid enrollment and retention strategies. The Director reports to the chief financial officer and must play an active role on various university and system committees and initiatives. Some travel and responsibility for continued professional development required.

| Qualifications: | Baccalaureate degree and minimum of five years experience in higher education financial aid administration required for consideration at director level. Baccalaureate degree and three to five years experience sufficient to likely produce the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities required for associate or assistant director level. Master's Degree, additional administrative experience in Enrollment Management environment, and knowledge of Oracle/PeopleSoft preferred. Required knowledge, skills and abilities include demonstrated ability to manage funds and administer complex computer programs and database(s); excellent communication, financial, problem-solving and managerial skills; and commitment to strong teamwork and excellent customer service. Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of federal and state student financial aid regulations also required at director level. (See job descriptions for additional information.) |
