Connect to H: Drive from Home
Mac OS X
- Activate the Finder.
- Choose the "Go" Menu and then the "Connect to Server" Menu item.
- In the "Connect to Server" window that opens you will need to type in https://student-hdrive.umfk.maine.edu/netumfk/firstname.lastname" into the "Server Address:" field. The firstname.lastname needs to be replaced with your Netumfk username, which is usually your firstname.lastname.
- You can click the "+" sign to the right of the "Server Address:" field to add this to your favorites so you don't need to type this in each time.
- Now you can click the connect button.
- Once your computer starts to connect you will recieve a "Verify Certificate" window. See image below. You need to click the "Continue" button to connect to your H Drive.
- Next you will get another window which will ask you for your login information. See image below.
- The Domain field needs to have "netumfk.edu", the name field needs to have your username (which is usually firstname.lastname) and the password field needs to have your password. Then click "OK".
- It may take a few moments but the Finder will open a window with your H: Drive documents.
- You can now access your documents and save new documents to this window.
- You will also get an icon on your Desktop with your username. See image below(image may differ from picture depending on version of Mac OS X). That you can access your H Drive from.
- To disconnect from your H: Drive just drag the icon for your H: Drive that is on your Desktop to the trash.
