The University of Maine System has licensed Symantec Corp's Endpoint Protection Antivirus and Antispyware product for use on University owned/leased equipment. Additionally, the software may be installed on one home computer utilized for University purposes, providing you are a registered student, faculty member, or employee of the University of Maine at Fort Kent. Use the same username and password that you use to log in to computers on campus to download the antivirus software.
Please note that if you have any other Antivirus Software installed on your computer it needs to be uninstalled before installing this Antivirus software. The only exception to this is if you are upgrading from a previous version of Symantec that you received through the University. By entering your login information for any of the antivirus software you agree to all of the terms and conditions listed here and those provided by software manufacturer. All connections and downloads from this site are logged and closely monitored by the University of Maine at Fort Kent to insure compliance with our agreement with Symantec Corporation.
The full download is a little over 63mb. If you are on a dial-up connection we recommened you come in and pick up a CDROM of the software. To do so please contact the IT Department at 207-834-7547. There will be a minimum fee of $2 to recoup the cost of the CD.
