UMS Student Account
As a University of Maine System student you have been assigned a UMS student account. It is very important that you activate and use this account as it is the username and password that is required to access several different systems. In order to activate this account, you will need an activation key. If you already have an activation key, click here to activate your account and follow the instructions to set your own password. To get an activation key or for help with activating this account, please contact Nicki Ouellette at 834-7818, Peter Cyr at 834-7547 or see any member of the Library Staff. The username and password from this account will be used to access the following systems:
On-Campus Computer Use Account
Before you can use a computer in any computer lab or cluster on campus, you must obtain an On-Campus Computer Use Account. You will be assigned a username and default password that will allow you to log on to the student computers. Once you have logged in with this account, you must deposit money on it to be able to print. A deposit station has been set up in the Library. Log in to the station with this username and password and deposit money on your account. UMFK charges three cents per page for black and white printing and 30 cents per page for color printing. Fill out the Account Request Form and see Nicki Ouellette, Peter Cyr or any member of the Library Staff for help with this account.
This username and password can also be used to download a free copy of the latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection.
