Preface

This document provides a longitudinal profile of the University of Maine at Fort Kent. It is designed as an "in-house" document and not for reporting statistics to State or Federal agencies. It presents data in three main areas: general information about the school, program development, and enrollment data. The information is chronological. The sources of the data have been from manual records, federal and university reports, and the current computer database. The first computer was installed in 1974, and since, the information is more complete.

Until the end of the Spring 1991 semester, the Statistical Abstract was published at the end of each semester. The information was generated on the last day of classes and did not correspond to statistics produced on the official University Census Day. The census date occurs on October 15th for the fall semester and February 15th for the spring. Beginning with the Fall 1991 semester, the information in the Statistical Abstract is based on Census Day enrollment data.
