Faculty, Staff and Students:

There continue to be no confirmed cases of H1N1 at UMFK, however, reported cases of seasonal flu and H1N1 are on the rise across the entire state of Maine.  Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control have released a new brochure which provides information and details about H1N1 flu, prevention, symptoms, and what to do if you get sick.  Also attached is a flyer from the American College of Emergency Physicians regarding when to seek emergency medical care.

Past H1N1 updates and guidance as well as information regarding UMFK Absence Reporting and UMS Leave Policies FAQ are also available from the “Additional Resources” tab on the UMFK Emergency Management homepage.

As always, for more information on the flu and/or flu preparations you may also visit www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu or www.flu.gov or call 1-800-CDC-INFO.
