Women's Volleyball competes in the NAIA and they are members of the Sunrise Conference. Matches take place throughout New England and the Lady Bengals home court is located inside the UMFK Sports Center.

Nadeau named Women’s Volleyball Coach

Fort Kent, Maine – St. Francis native and UMFK Alumni Dustin Nadeau has been named the new UMFK Women’s Volleyball Coach for the 2008 season. Nadeau will take over for Kate Fecinta who has stepped down after two successful seasons building the program from scratch. Nadeau, who was a member of this years Sunrise and Region X Champion Men’s Soccer team who advanced to the sweet sixteen at the National Tournament, received his business degree from UMFK in 2007 and then returned this year to work towards CPA requirements. Nadeau has coached Volleyball at Fort Kent Community High School the last three years and is the current Head Boys Baseball Coach which he has held the last two years and the Junior Varsity Boy’s Basketball Coach for the last four seasons.
UMFK Women's volleyball season comes to an end in SC Semis

Standish, ME - The UMFK women's volleyball team lost to #1 SUNY 3-0 (30-8, 30-11, 30-12) Friday in the Sunrise Conference Final Four at Saint Joseph's College in Standish, ME. SUNY went onto defeat U-Maine Machias 3-0 to take the conf championship.

Garrison Rookie of the Year

Portland, ME - Freshmen sensation Amber Garrison (Oroville, CA) was named Sunrise Conference Rookie of the Year Thursday night in Portland, ME at the SC banquet. The UMFK team was also presented with the Team Sportsmanship Award for their positive attitudes and class during the season. Garrison was also named to the All-Conference team. Ladies come up short vs. UMPI

Fort Kent, ME - The University of Maine at Presque Isle defeated UMFK 3-0 Wednesday evening in front of a spirited crowd in "The Jungle." Although UMFK lost in three straight, they battled down 20-8 in the second game to get within two at 29-27 before dropping the game. Exceptional saves and impressive blocks kept the Lady Bengals in striking distance the entire match. In the end, the Lady Owls left with a three game sweep and UMFK will now have one more chance to get a win on the season and a chance to play advance to post season play when they host Vermont Tech on Sunday October 28 for two matches.
Lady Bengals lose in five to Thomas

Fort Kent, ME - Thomas took a 2-0 lead and held of a UMFK rally to win 3-2 for their first win of the season in women’s college volleyball Sunday in Fort Kent. The Lady Terriers won 30-19, 30-25, 14-30, 15-30 and 15-12 in the five game thriller. Tiffany Crowe led UMFK with 10 kills while Amber Garrison had a match high 54 assists and a team high nine service aces. UMFK drops to 0-15 with the tough loss while Thomas moved to 1-16 with the victory.
