Each year UMFK honors four of its own at the annual alumni banquet held as part of the school's "Come to Campus Days".

Awards include Outstanding Alumni, Future Outstanding Alumni, Young Outstanding Alumni, Gold Cane, which is given to the oldest living alumnus, and the Pop Hoyt which is given to the member of the oldest class represented at the awards banquet.
