Our Interdisciplinary Team

The nursing faculty are committed to the academic, professional, and personal growth of students, and recognize that students bring their own unique needs and interests to the classroom. All full-time faculty possess advanced nursing degrees at the master's and doctoral levels reflecting their expertise in a variety of specialties including adult, family, and community health. As part of the need for students to fully appreciate the roles and responsibilities for which the professional nurse is accountable, faculty incorporate a variety of teaching methodologies, including distance modalities and self-directed learning strategies. Field trip experiences are also utilized to expand students' awareness of what it means to be a liberally educated professional nurse. Through all learning experiences, students are encouraged to develop leadership insight and skills with which to promote social justice and to advance professional issues through endorsement of the humanities.
