Environmental Practicum Experience
All students in the ES program participate in an internship to fulfill the Environmental Practicum (Env 300) course requirement. Students choose work experiences that relate to their chosen area of specialization. Internships can be done on a paid or volunteer basis. Our students have worked as interns at organizations locally and across the country. Some organizations where ES students can work include:
- Natural Resource Conservation Service
- St. John Valley Soil & Water Conservation District
- National Park Service
- U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
- Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife
- Maine Department of Environmental Protection
