The mission of the Senior College is to provide intellectually stimulating learning opportunities and special activities developed primarily for person fifty (50) years of age or older. It extends educational opportunities developed, designed, coordinated and delivered by its members and other seniors. The program serves the greater St. John Valley, which includes Allagash, Fort Kent, Madawaska, St. Agatha, Van Buren, Eagle lake, and surrounding communities.

The Senior College is nonsectarian, nonpartisan and nonprofit.
